Steps to get Organized

Step 1. Mark your calendar!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. October 16th 2013 is Dress for the Cause day.

Step 2. Create your team's fundraising strategy.
This part is fun, and a great way to get others involved. 

Step 3. Ask management about an employer matching program to support the cause and match employee contributions. (This donation by the employer is eligible for a tax receipt)

Step 4. Update and use your online donation portal for your team where donations can be done easily and securely online

Step 5. Join the 'support movement' by wearing your support bra, by wearing pink or "Doing the Dare" on October 19th, raise money for breast cancer research across Canada.

Step 6. Hand in your pledges and send in any donations before November 9th to be eligible for the incentives.

Here are some Dress for the Cause event ideas:

• put on some pink
• dress the office in pink
• "Dare to Wear the Bra"

• host a bake sale
• have a bbq
• shave  your head or someone else's
